Live Space Weather

What is space weather?

Space weather is the state of the solar wind: the stream of charged particles the Sun sends past the Earth. When it quickens, the planetary magnetic field shakes, the aurora walks toward the equator, and the Kp index, the standard measure of geomagnetic disturbance, climbs. This page shows live readings from NOAA: solar wind speed and density, the current Kp index, and the aurora forecast for both hemispheres.

Why a divination site carries it

The old sciences read the sky as one system of correspondences; this page keeps one honest thread of that: the actual measurable sky, updating as you watch. For calm after the storm, the healing frequencies are the quieter instrument, and the Moon phases and retrograde tracker carry the rest of the planetary weather.
